i keep forgetting how i get computer stuff working (my memory is about as robust as a geriatric's bladder). this blog will be like adult diapers for my brain.
i'm currently a phd student in computational and systems biology at mit. i have a girlfriend (christina). the christina and i live in sunny east cambridge.
emacs seems to be really good at auto-indenting; it took me forever though to figure out how to simply insert a tab.
if you don't want to auto-indent and just want to add a couple of spaces (useful for commenting), use the keyboard shortcut:
"M-i"
where M represents your meta key (ESC often by default).
